FreeToSmokeNH.org is a group of New Hampshire citizens who are fighting to protect free association between smokers and the business owners that wish to cater to them.  We are opposed to the so-called “restaurant smoking ban” and similar efforts promoted by the anti-smoking lobby and their political allies.  We believe that business owners, not politicians, should continue to decide how to run their businesses, and individual customers and employees should remain free to decide for themselves whether or not to associate with those businesses.

Please help keep New Hampshire the “Live Free or Die” state by joining us to fight these the lobbyists and politicians that aim to infringe upon our rights to peaceably assemble, own and operate a business according to the demands of our customers, and our right make health decisions for ourselves.

Two new smoking ban "legislative service requests" (precursors to bills) have been proposed, one in the House and one in the Senate.  Both bills are titled "AN ACT prohibiting smoking in restaurants, cocktail lounges, and certain enclosed public places."  We will not know the exact language of each bills until their sponsors sign off on the bills.

The House bill is sponsored by Rep. Steve  Vaillancourt.  The Senate bill is sponsored by Sen. David M Gottesman, Sen. Martha  Fuller Clark, Sen. Harold W Janeway, and Rep. Cindy  Rosenwald.  Both of these bills propose to ban smoking in bars and restaurants, and both must be opposed.  Be sure to contact your representatives and senators to let them know you oppose these bills.
